Wildlife photography to live with, journeys to take, and time in the field to learn.
Emily McCulliss — wildlife photographer, expedition guide and NOAA-permitted ocean storyteller. Bring the wild home, go there with her, or learn to photograph it yourself.

Three ways into the wild.
We've never been more connected, or further from the wild. Emily has spent years in wild places, across all seven continents, so she can bring that moment to you: on your wall, on an expedition, or in the field beside her.

Meet Emily
Emily McCulliss is a nature and wildlife photographer, visual storyteller, and expedition guide based on Maui, Hawaii. Her work lives at the intersection of wild places and the people drawn to them, and a deep belief that something shifts in us when we step into truly unfiltered nature.
Her background spans marine biology, biology, chemistry, neuroscience, psychology, and business. But it was in the waters off Mexico, eye-to-eye with blue marlins and humpback whales, that her purpose became clear- to connect people to extraordinary encounters in nature, and the moments of recognition that follow.
"Inspire your today to change your tomorrow."

Questions, answered
About Emily, the prints and the journeys.
Who is Emily McCulliss?
Emily McCulliss is a nature and wildlife photographer, visual storyteller and expedition guide based on Maui, Hawaii. She works across all seven continents, from underwater, surface-level and aerial perspectives, concentrating on the behavior, patterns and movement of landscapes and wildlife in their truest form. Her work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal Global Luxury Edition, Luxe Magazine and Colorado Homes & Lifestyles, and she is represented by Chamoun Gallery in Montreal.
What is the difference between a Limited Edition and an Open Edition print?
Limited Edition prints are Emily's collector's work: individually numbered, made with archival, museum-caliber materials, and delivered with a hand-signed certificate of authenticity through signature-verified shipping. Open Edition prints are accessible fine art in larger editions, made for growing collections. Both are signed by the artist.
Which print medium should I choose?
Acrylic gives luminous depth and suits bold color. Metal gives vivid color and is exceptionally durable. Stretched canvas has a soft, glare-free texture and arrives ready to hang. Matted, premium and standard paper prints are made for framing. If you're unsure which suits your space, ask Emily about the piece.
Where do you ship?
Shipping is available within the US. Local pickup in Lahaina, Maui is available by appointment. International buyers can email emily@emilymcculliss.com for pricing. Shipping and sales tax are calculated at checkout.
What are Emily's expeditions like?
They are small-group journeys into wild places Emily has spent years seeking out: tracking snow leopards across Mongolia, swimming with oceanic predators in Baja, standing before one of the few remaining large bull elephants in Kenya, and Maui's whale season. Photography is taught in the field, not in a classroom: light, timing and the decisions behind the frame. Expeditions are planned and booked through ELEM×HU, and the travel catalog is sent when you request it, by email or printed and posted to you.

What is The Whale Project?
Maui Whales & Ocean Tales is Emily's 2026–2027 visual storytelling project on Maui's humpback whales, big wave surfing and ocean community. It creates freely accessible content for Maui's teachers, tour industry and conservation organizations. The Maui Whales & Ocean Tales chocolate bars support the project.
Do you work with interior designers and hotels?
Yes. The Trade page is for interior designers, hospitality and hotel projects, corporate art consultants and retailers. Emily's work has been exhibited at The Resort at Kapalua Bay and The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua Bay.
